Antique Victorian elements combine to create a modern statement necklace on this one of a kind piece. Its chain features chunky Gutta Percha links. Gutta Percha is considered one of the earliest plastics and was made from tree sap. It is a lightweight and relatively strong material with a dark brown-black coloration that Victorians loved during the later mourning period in the 1880s. The chain holds a repurposed brooch with cascading torpedo forms in a fantastic frame made of a repurposed buckle c1840 set with past stones.
Materials: Gutta percha, pot metal, crystal, gold plated brass.
