IN THE STUDIO: TEAM LULU CELEBRATES MOTHER'S DAY

May 1, 2019

Here at Lulu Frost, celebrating family history is in our DNA. In fact, Founder & Creative Director Lisa Salzer-Wiles learned about vintage jewelry from her grandmother Elizabeth Rock Frost who worked in the estate jewelry business for decades and today, her Mom serves as our vintage buyer. As Mother's Day fast approaches (Sunday, May 12th), our team took the chance to reflect on the sartorial lessons we've received from our own mothers and the gifts we think they'd love this year.

Chris (Marketing) - Pictured above with her Mom, Dung "Pauline" Do, and Dad, Charlie.

"All my life my Mom has dressed to impress. Feminine, but modern, in a sophisticated type of way. And the one thing that she taught me - that stuck - was to never leave the house without a piece of jewelry. The Piazza Pearl Drop Earrings are the epitome of her - elegance with a touch of fun."

Azadeh (Design) - her Mom, Patty, pictured below.

"My Mom Patty loved color  - from her earrings to her brightly polished fingernails. She taught Montessori school and believed that her choices in fashion should be as fun and creative as the environment she created in her classroom. I think she would have loved the Boboli Double Drop Earring."

Megan (Sales) - her Mom, Beth, and Dad, Bruce, pictured below.

"My Mom isn't afraid of making a statement - as evidenced here by her glasses and pussybow blouse - but overall has great, classic style. She would love the Domus Midi Necklace."

Cruz (Logistics) - Pictured below with his Mom, Ana

"My Mom taught me it's always better to be overdressed than underdressed. She would love the Amp Link Bracelet - because being extra is always in style!"

Jess (Graphics) - Her Mom, Becky, pictured below.

"My Mom was always fashionable without looking like she tried too hard. I mean, can we take a moment to appreciate how on trend her look from 1977 is right now? She taught me how to dress to flatter my body type and that one or two key accessories can make a whole look. The Folly Charm Necklace is an update to her classic locket look."

Dominga (Production) - Pictured below with her Sister, Ana, and her Mom, Vianela.

"My Mother would always wear long statement earrings and almost never went a day without wearing florals. She was the one who taught me how to make jewelry with beans and small flowers back in the Dominican Republic. If she was still here, she would love the Piazza Long Statement Earrings."
